An easy balsamic mushroom recipe
Ingredients Â
- 350 g brown mushrooms but white ones also work
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 3-4 tbsp. native olive oil*
- 6 tbsp. dark balsamic vinegar*
- 2-3 tbsp. agave syrup* or honey if not vegan
- 3 tbsp. small bunch parsley
- fine sea salt
- Pepper* from the mill
InstructionsÂ
- Clean the mushrooms. Cut off the base of the stem and rub off the remains of earth and forest with a dry cloth.
- For the marinade (sauce), mix the balsamic vinegar with agave syrup (or honey) and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Put aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the mushrooms in it for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the garlic and sauté briefly.
- Add the marinade to the mushrooms in the pan for about 5 minutes, allowing to reduce slightly while stirring occasionally. The sauce should reduce slightly like syrup so that it sticks well to the mushrooms.
- Meanwhile, rinse the parsley, shake dry and roughly chop.
- Taste the mushrooms again and season with salt and pepper if necessary.
- Serve sprinkled with freshly chopped parsley.
